I had known about Christina since her Voice days and remember hearing the news of that night, but I never called myself a fan until last May. That was when I remembered the original Just a Dream cover she did w/ Sam, and I decided to look into her more. I fell in love. I came to realize that, as great of a talent as she was on camera, she was an even better person off it. She inspired me to take up music as a hobby, pursue a closer relationship with God, and to generally become a better person and improve the world around me like she was set out to do. She may not be here and it hurts and will continue to hurt, but I find peace in the fact that she’s somewhere above keeping me safe with Tina, Chloe, and Jesus, and that one day I’ll get to be with her again and give her a great big hug. 💚💚💚
